Speedruns is when you play something as fast as possible. Speedrunners practice for hours to master the game they play. These speedruns make for a pretty entertaining watch

Speedruners often change the rules on how they play the game, they do this to add some variety to the playthrough, here are some of those different categories.
In this run, speedrunners grab every possible collectible in the game as fast as possible, often times games have hundreds of collectibles so these runs can take from 1 to 8hours. and thats without any breaks too (this is a speedrun after all)
Low percent is when the speedrunners beat the game as fast as possibel with as little as possible, you'd be suprised how littler some games require of you to beat them.
Means No Out of Bounds, the Runner cannot leave the boudry that was set but the developers. So no jumping through walls and skipping half the level.
Basically complete the game without abusing glitches.

Complete the Game with no collectables, This is tends to be impossible for most game but every now and then there is a broken game that can be broken even further
This just means in the speedrun you have to fight every single boss in the game, that includes all optional bosses (if applicable)
Speedrunning categories can be created from specific game objectives. Such as in Super Mario 64 where there is a category to beat the game only obtaining 16 stars or even 1 star.
